Is Pulp Nonfiction a term yet? If not, it should be. Yes, we make documentaries but we like to call them movies. Because on Dreamco productions, we find joy in moviemaking. Don’t get us wrong, we love scrolling through content just like everyone else. But we aren’t content creators. We are proud to be filmmakers. Dreamco Pictures produces true stories, told by the people who lived them, in the most interesting and cinematic ways possible.

There are a lot of ways to make a great movie. This is how Dreamco does it.

Find a true story. Find a person willing to share their story on camera. Create an epic playlist on Spotify. Go to Office Depot. Buy note cards. Craft the story into a beginning, middle and end. Build a creative plan & schedule. Formalize a rough budget. Partner with enthusiastic investors. PRE-PRODUCTION: design a story outline. Collaborate with all of the necessary storytellers: living subjects, Artists, Crew, Studios & Executives, etc. Create a detailed script. Storyboard high-concept scenes. GREEN LIGHT - The budget & schedule is locked and cash flows. PRODUCTION: Get a camera. Put something in front of it. Press record. POST-PRODUCTION: look at everything you hate about yourself and your art. Make it better. Keep showing up. When you reach the point of diminishing returns. Premiere. Throw a debaucherous after-party with the distributor's credit card. Profit. Glory. Do it again.
